S&P Global (China) Ratings — Multilateral Lending Institutions Methodology This article presents S&P Global (China) Ratings' criteria for rating multilateral lending institutions (MLIs) and other supranational institutions globally. Most have a mandate to pursue specified policy objectives under international treaties, for example, to promote the economic development of their less-developed or regional member countries, encourage regional integration, or facilitate the expansion of cross-border trade.
